Save a Historic Site

The Aquatice Center was placed on the site of an historic late 1800's to 1920's Granite Quarry. What is left of the Quarry is very important to identify the early impact of Belview to the Developing United States. There is left granite piers (8)from an early private railroad that took mined quarry granite to the port at Fox Point. Granite was shipped to Philadelphia. The next quarry to come along at Shipley Road and Phila Pike utilized its stone for bulk heads along the lower Delaware river near Lewis.

Additional remains are of a run off, that's were Stoney Run Creek was diverted into the quarry where large pieces of granite were washed and wash water then returned to the Creek.

Let not bury such a Historic Site to a Public Dump!
